"Everyone". Why are you singling Hinoka out??? Or am I just reading into that as well (esp out of context like, the reason I didn't rb those isn't a huge one it's just been so long since I've done a full Fates run that I didn't have the context on hand/in my memory, so. I've only watched the first nine episodes of the fan sub of the Katrielle Layton anime, but I've cried at about half of them and the thing is that, so far, all of them have just been about love. And not necessarily romantic love, but the love between estranged brothers, childhood friends, parents and children - even episodes that don't seem like it, like the Ratman one, are about love. The love a child feels for his heroes. The love a father feels for his family. Or the one with the jewel thefts, that was just someone trying to protect the community that they love.

It is all love.

One of my favorite things about Xander is the way he just keeps adopting people. Xander tries to be stand offish but then he sees someone a bit childish and immediately adopts them. Besides his own siblings, he also picks up Peri, Laslow (in the beginning of their relationship), Veronica in Heroes, and Takumi in Warriors.

If you haven't seen the Takumi and Xander support in Warriors, definitely look it up. It is really interesting to see how Takumi responds to Xander's approach to getting him to not over train himself versus Ryoma's approach to getting him to not over train himself.

HE'S A BIG BROTHER AT HEART!!! and in every other way ghdjfsjb i think abt how he just started hanging out with veronica in heroes all the time. and that support with takumi was sweet!!! of course it was about training, these dopes. something i rly like abt xander is how readily he'll talk abt his failures sometimes--in a way that he recognizes they helped pave the path leading to where he is now. and relaying those failures to others to try and help (in this case, to takumi) is just. SO big brother of him. ;w; onii-san!!!!

It depends on his particular style, but they are generally tailored and more on the formal side. Naturally, if you want to impress her, you need to have some sense of fashion.

Clara is similar. She is younger so the formal clothes will hit harder, even in the royal verses where everyone dresses nicely.

Also since we are on the subject, both of them are clothes stealers but will work the clothes effortlessly into their wardrobes lol

The sterling level of character development & VA [general]. Once known, no name is buried. Examples: Arlecchino The King Of Riddles, Lorenzini Venigni, -Alidoro- The Parrot, Polendina [etc]... Yet its clear as day who the indisputable leader is...

The ‘not letting go’ strings tightly woven into the ‘whisper of the entourage’. I feel them.

I will forever appreciate a theme in my fictional stories, & that’s exactly what Wind Breaker (by Nii Satoru) has, so, I present:

Wind Breaker characters have a theme to their names.. a thread:

Bōfūrin / 防風鈴

so, even though our protag group’s name is written and visually represented as “wind chime”, Bōfūrin’s name is where this group’s theme of trees/plants start:

防風鈴 (“prevent/protect” “wind chime”) has the same reading as 防風林, a type of forest planted strategically to prevent wind erosion of soil — much like Fūrin’s mission of protecting and serving their town

all of Bōfūrin’s named members (and close associations) so far have some element of tree/plant/wood in their last name (if you look at the kanji of their last names, you’d see a lot of wood radicals/木字旁):

桜 遥 • Sakura Haruka: 桜 / cherry tree

(fun fact: his name 遥 / haruka means "far"; also it's commonly a feminine given name)

蘇枋 隼飛 • Suō Hayato: 枋 / sandalwood (?) or tree used as timber, general term for wooden beams in houses

While he didn’t know as much about what that would entail, he never understood why the government was so involved in the school..it felt pretty odd expecially considering the people attending with crimes. Suppose he wasn’t one to talk.

While being casual or flirty was his usual go to…he knew that would earn him no points. In fact, probably negative points. So..yeah should be kept in his imagination.

He couldn’t help but be relived that the questions were over. He managed to turn to see the other fall out of the closet making him blink in surprise, but get over it quickly.

He could certainly understand the others feelings. He himself felt rather suspicious of the school for that very reason and didn’t even particularly like it just going to achieve a good future.

He doesn’t mind being naturally patient just finding it entertaining enough to just examine his surroundings. He had to hold himself from being too sarcastic or flirty as that was his natural response to most situations and just focuses on answering their questions.

That was a relief as he didn’t want to deal with that. It was annoying enough to have other authority aware of his talent, so as long as the other didn’t give him trouble neither would he.

The real dog that inspired Ghost Trick's "Missile".

As many people on Tumblr have already pointed out, Ghost Trick is a game that is best experienced going in fully-blind. It offers amazing puzzle-based gameplay, a charming cast of characters and a unique story with plenty of twists and turns that will leave you both stunned and fulfilled by the end. My one true regret with the game is that I can't experience it for the first time again.

So, in trying to hype up the game for its release on Steam, Switch, Playstation and XBox, I decided to go for a novel approach: Instead of gushing about the game and potentially spoiling it for you, I will instead offer some facts about the real-life dog that inspired one of the game's most memorable characters. Knowing those facts won't spoil the game for you and will in fact make you appreciate its story a whole lot more, so feel free to reblog away, adding any facts that I might have missed about the game's Charismatic Cheerful Capable Caring Canine.

You know… This adorable little guy: 

Ladies and Gentlemen, meet Missile Takumi!

Missile was a pomeranian Puppy adopted by Shu Takumi on 2007. He was named after a dog appearing in Gyakuten Saiban 1 (aka Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney 1). The dog in the original game was a throwaway gag, not essential in the overall game’s story. The real-life  little pomeranian however proved to be an essential part of Shu Takumi’s life.

Missile was Shu Takumi’s best friend. The little doggie was always there for him, always available to lift his spirits with a cheerful bark when he was feeling down and always offering a friendly paw even in the gloomiest of circumstances. Missile was a truly loyal friend, offering unconditional love and friendship, helping Shu Takumi get over even the most difficult of times.

So when time came to make Ghost Trick, a game about ghosts, regrets, mystery, loyalty, friendship and ultimate redemption, it was perfectly natural for Shu Takumi to give his best little friend a part in the story.

The game’s developers didn’t initially want to put Missile in the game. They didn’t have a problem with putting a dog as a character, they had a problem with the fact that the dog was a Pomeranian and they would have problems animating his fur in-game. Shu Takumi however insisted and eventually, after meeting the little doggie and falling under its charm, the developers relented into putting him in the game in all his Pomeranian glory.

Not only did they put him in the game, in fact, they went above and beyond in capturing his charm perfectly. They studied his moves and mannerisms, in order to get his movements down pat.

Missile’s iconic in-game bark was actually a recording of sound-designer’s Nobuyuki Shimizu Labrador Retriever who was coincidentally also named Missile! Shu Takumi wanted to record his own Missile, but Shimizu-san also wanted to put a part of his own dog in the game and Takumi eventually relented.

So, yeah, Missile in the game was voiced by Missile. Just not THE Missile.

In order to make up for not recording his own dog for the game Shu Takumi made a “character song” for Ghost Trick’s Missile:. 

Yes, those barks you hear in the song are recordings of THE Missile, no substitutes this time! This is how the little Pomeranian used to bark!

The song was made to celebrate Ghost Trick’s 3rd year release anniversary and even though the song talks about Ghost Trick’s Missile, a lot of the behaviors mentioned in the lyrics (such as Missile’s tendency to climb on the sofa and then needing help to get back down) are things that Takumi’s pomeranian friend used to do.

The song was later remade by CAP-JAMS and included in the soundtrack of the 2023 remaster of the game.

And, yes, the original Missile’s barks are still there.

If it’s not perfectly clear, Shu Takumi really wanted to tell everyone how awesome his little dog was. He made the little dog an essential part of Ghost Trick and stealthily  made the world, at least that small part of it that played Ghost Trick, fall in love with him.

Ghost Trick was released under critical acclaim, even receiving a nomination for Gamespot’s Best 2011 Puzzle Game, but the fact that it was released near the end of the DS’s lifespan and a lackluster advertising campaign made it 2011’s “Best Game You’ve Never Played”.

The game, however, slowly gained a cult following and within that following, the story of Missile resonated with everyone and became one of its standout points. He might not have been the player-character but he was definitely the show-stealer.

(To tell any more would be going into spoiler territory, but seriously go buy and play Ghost Trick any way you can. It really deserves a bigger audience).

So beloved was the little dog in fact that when Ace Attorney was eventually adapted into an anime, the animators couldn’t resist putting him into episodes 13 and 30 of the first and second season respectively. In fact, in the anime Missile was indirectly responsible for the “class trial” incident that shaped Naruhodo/Wright’s life.

Before you ask, no, Missile was not voicing himself this time (something about working with animals and children). He was voiced by Tomokazu Seki in the Japanese version and by Kyle Hebert in the English dub. Still a nice tribute to Takumi’s little doggie.

One final Missile fact that I can’t find a proper segway for is that Missile also got along surprisingly well with Wagahai and Sankichii, the cats that later also entered the Takumi household, though, the way Takumi tells this, it was the cats that called the shots more often than not. 

Missile passed away on the 10th of November 2018. The way Shu Takumi puts it, the valiant little doggie waited for him to return from the US, to spend some final time with him before passing on. We don’t know the exact details just that it was sudden and unexpected.

Missile is no longer with us, but his memory lives on. He will always be remembered by Shu Takumi as the friend that always was by his side… and always will be with him.

…and he will always be remembered by the gaming community as the little Pomeranian that stole everybody’s hearts and made Ghost Trick a truly memorable experience.

My brother asked me what I thought the first man made object to break the sound barrier was, and I said I didn’t know, and I don’t like guessing games so just tell me, and he said “The bullwhip.”

And my mother, who I wasn’t even aware was in the other room listening, decided to make sure that I was aware of what a bullwhip was and had in my mind’s eye a good image of what one is by just yelling “OBJECTION!”

A slight hand wave from him, before a slight sheepish expression took over. A proclaimed prince supposedly, jeez. Here he was shouting for the other, yet — had hardly any clue of what he was going to say next. Regardless, he sucked in a breath to keep himself steady.

Be calm, at the very least .. he seems easier to get along with, in comparison to the others.

As steps began to slowed, Takumi would relax his tense body, with a small inhale, then an exhale that followed suit. Adjusting his attire to look more presentable, before fully stopping once he was in front of the male. Parting his lips to speak, he wasn’t able to get anything out just yet, as he listened to him speak. Truth be told, Takumi had enjoyed the evening, even if .. he didn’t necessarily participate in too much.

“ Uh , yeah ! It’s been pretty nice, actually .. unlike anything I had really attended before, to be honest with you. ” Would he say, glancing off to the side, before noticing the feather out of the corner of his eye, attention would fully return to the other. “ Thank you .. ah ! Give me a moment, and I’ll give you my item in return — “

Reaching to gently taking the feather from him, swiftly tucking it into his pocket for safe keeping. “ Hm? Oh! Yes, I enrolled not to long ago .. Prince Takumi of Hoshido, it’s .. it’s nice to meet you, Dimitri .. right? “ Partly bad when it came to remembering names, as he bowed slightly to return the same respect, straightening back up not to long after. “ It’s nice to meet you! Wait — you’re the blue lions house leader? That’s amazing! What’s it like? “

[ Garden ] - Need to get away from the thick of the party for a moment? Step outside of the dance hall, where Garreg Mach's own vaunted gardens await, gracefully decorated to take on new life for the duration of the evening.

A breath of fresh air never failed to be good for someone’s being. Shoulders relaxing for a moment, as he rubbed his temples, glancing around at the different scenery for a moment. It was .. definitely different from what he was use to, back at home.

Walking through the gardens, a brief smile appearing upon his lips as he walked. Between the festivities, and the .. socializing, needless to say .. Takumi needed a break for a little while.

Glancing around for a moment, would he noticed the roses, reaching to touch one of the petals, only to pull away — a small wince escaping for a moment. Accidentally pricking his digit on one of the thorns, along causing it to bleed in the process. Softly grumbling a little, before continuing on his way.

Turning to look ahead, would Takumi notice someone standing there. Blond hair, At first, the prince was tempted to try and head back to the party … but. He halted, this would be his chance to try and socialize in an .. easier setting. Without the feeling of .. nobility breathing down his neck.

Lips parting for a moment, before making his way over to the other. “ Hey ! " He’d exclaim, hoping to catch the attention of the other.

In spite of everything, it was a nice night to be out. It might simply have been his northern blood craving the cold, craving the solitude that came from being under the vast dark sky with only the stars for company.

Well. Not only.

There had been others mingling about the gardens, many people who for whatever reason wanted to escape the energy and heat inside the ballroom. He'd seen a few familiar faces in between the hedgerows, and some less so - there was the pang of guilt, as though he were avoiding them somehow by not seeking out conversation, the idle mingling that was intended by these events.

But, he thought, too, they had expressed a desire for their solitude by merely being apart from the crowd, hadn't they?

The call for his attention dragged him back to earth, and he turned, eyebrows raised and expectant, to see one of those unfamiliar faces approaching. Dimitr smiled, and bowed, and extended the white feather from his brooch for the other to take.

"Hello! I, ah, hope that you're enjoying the evening! Pardon, I - I don't believe I've seen you around the academy before. Are you new to Garreg Mach?" Dimitri cocked his head, and added with a chuckle, "What an exciting time to join. I hope that you enjoy your time here. My name is Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd, I am the leader of the Blue Lions House. Please, if I can be of assistance, don't hesitate to call upon me."

happy Valentine’s Day to everyone! I hope you know you are appreciated and cared for! Here are some Headcanons on how my fictional crushes would spend Valentine’s Day 💓

Daiki Aomine:

He’s playing basketball 💀

You’re 100000% sure he forgot what today was because when you gave him a handmade lunch AND a net for catching bugs he just stares at it like “what is this for?”

So as you sadly sit on the bench watching him play

But then he falls idiot

You sigh and walk over to him. “You ok Daiki?”

He groans and kneels with a bracelet in his hand blushing

“H-happy Valentine’s Day…”

You’re speechless. Only for a short moment of course, you quickly begin laughing your ass off

“W-what’s so funny?! Damn Kise telling me to do dumb shit…”

“I love it Daiki! Where’d you get it?” 

“S-satski taught me…”

This man has the largest amount of pride but will always throw it aside for you!

Sasuke Uchiha:

You both would either stay home or be somewhere private 

You both have this secret spot in the woods that you guys have been going to ever since you were kids

So it’s no surprise on your 15th valentines together that’s where the two of you would be

With the little snacks and dinner entrees the both of you made to surprise each other and the nice lighting and river it was perfect

This is also the time he’s most vulnerable with you; kissing your hands, neck, cheek, arms, and of course your lips ;)

He whispers sweet things in your ear and tells you how he’s never loved like this and won’t with anyone else 

“You’re my everything (y/n). I look at you and see a future brighter than all the stars out tonight.”

It’s safe to say he only and will only ever love you

Takumi Fujiwara:

You’ve always went on Tofu runs when you could with Takumi, and it was no different for Valentine’s Day 

When he arrives at your house he’s standing there with a small bouquet 

“Is there anything you want to do today?” He asks you as he drives to the hotel

You shake your head. “It doesn’t really matter as long as I’m with you!”

He can’t help but smile

When he’s done with the deliveries he pulls into a parking lot in front of Lake Akina 

“Can w-we just sit here for a while then? I really just want to be with you.”

You smile at him and lean your head as close as you can to his shoulder. “I’d love that Takumi.”

Rindou Haitani:

Rindou takes you dancing

You both love to dance so it was a win

But of course after that he takes you home

You both cuddle on each other and watch random movies

Rindou has the finest liquor out and the sweetest chocolate and all your other favorite sweets 

He kisses up and down your shoulder as you sit in his lap holding one of his hands

“You’re mine (y/n). And you’re gonna be for my next valentine and the one after that…”

Jean Kirstein 

He cooks for you!

He makes you sit there patiently while he scrambles around creating the perfect meal

“Jean, i don’t mind helping you. I think it’ll be a lot easier if-“

“I got this (y/n)! Just sit there and look beautiful! Tell me about your day. You know I love to hear your voice.”

After he’s FINALLY done cooking, you dine together in the not so fancy living area, but the both of you don’t care

Jean did his best to clean up and set the sweet, loving tone and that’s all that matters to you.

“I love you (y/n). Thank you for making me so happy.”

Ryusui Nanami:

This man goes all out💀

As soon as you wake up it’s the most perfect breakfast in bed

He has to leave to work but literally leaves you his black card to treat yourself and constantly has people arriving with beautiful flowers every 5 minutes

He comes back for lunch and talks to you

“Has your valentines been well? I’ll make sure that you have the best day ev-“

“I really like all the things Ryusui really i do, but…I just really want to spend time with you…”

He pauses

Then calls in like it’s nothing!

The rest of the day is the two of  you lay in bed together and act all cutesy!

“I’m glad you’re my valentines dear. It’s been one amazing day.”

Spike Spiegel:

This broke man does his best I’ll give him that

He buys you flowers and takes you to a pretty nice restaurant. Nothing too fancy but it’s nicer than you normally go to

He lets you order first and gets him something small, which is weird for this man

You both talk for hours the waitstaff is so annoyed

After you two are FINALLY done you both walk back to the Bebop

“Why did you eat so little Spike? You’re normally chowing down!”

He chuckles and keeps walking, “wasn’t that hungry.”

“Come on spike, we’re practically married, I can tell when you’re lying!”

He sighs and mumbled something 

“What?”

“I wanted to make sure I had enough money for you to eat…”

You stop in your tracks

“Spike…”

You kiss him lovingly 

“Thank you Spike. I love you so much.”

He smiles, “ditto.”

Hisashi Mitsui

You’re probably his first valentines tbh

He waits at a cafe with flowers in his hand

When you show up he’s bright red. You’re not even wearing and saying anything spectacular he’s just so nervous lol

You sit next to each other and talk snack and laugh about everything and anything 

After the cafe you head to the park

And after that you go to little stores you see along the way

Mitsui buys you a stuffed animal you were looking at and you bought him a chain necklace he glanced at

It was a really great valentines, especially since it was first

“T-thanks for being my valentine (y/n). I’m glad i get to spend it with you.”

Matt Holt:

He makes this super cool heart shaped projector thing!

He hands you this heart 

It rises shifts into being a projector that displays all of your favorite memories together

It shows the new inductee dance and how the two of you jumping around without a care in the world

Then it shows a lazy night of the both of you “studying” for an exam as the camera zooms into Matt’s face and your giggles from behind the camera

And one of your favorite memories of all, your day at the beach together. Throwing water at each other, making sand castles, resting you head in his shoulder as the sun goes down 

“Matt…this is beautiful… I-I’m speechless…!”

“It’s alright.” He begins, “I know what you’re gonna say. I love you too.”

Taehoon Seong

Mans has no idea what to do

He acts like he doesn’t care as Hansu tries to give him ideas but really he’s terrified of messing something up

So when the day comes you hear a knock on the door you’re surprised to see a nicely dressed Taehoon with a rose in his hand

“Happy Valentine’s Day idiot.”

When it’s finally time to sleep he massages your back and whispers about how much he loves you 

Then of course you fall asleep on his chest as he holds you

5 : 14 AM - satosugu

“Thought you said that you’re quitting, Suguru?”

Suguru smiled at his lover’s face, blowing a smoke ring towards him. Satoru didn’t appreciate it, but considering all the things Suguru has done that he doesn’t appreciate, smoking is easy to forgive. Satoru fanned the cigarette-smell away with a hand. “You said the girls didn’t like you smoking?”

“They don’t.” Suguru answered. He found it a bit cute that Satoru would check up on Nanako and Mimiko indirectly like this. “That’s why I do it secretly.” 

Satoru just grunted his annoyance. He was still lying naked in bed, eyes unwrapped, post-orgasm bliss slowly dissipating into the gnawing frustration that only Geto Suguru could cause. The other man had cleaned both of them up and was now sitting cross legged on the easy-chair next to the bed. They were so close: if both of them looked at each other, their lips would touch.  

Suguru dragged a puff. “The girls follow this idol who’s been pushing for an anti-smoking campaign. Mimiko’s ballet teacher talks about staying healthy a lot too.” The girls are growing up well, Satoru. Don’t worry about them. 

“You won’t listen to me.” Satoru complained. “At least listen to them, then. Stop smoking so much. I can see that your stomach walls are getting weaker.” Suguru looked a bit surprised at this, as if he wasn’t expecting Satoru to bring that up, even though he knew nothing could be hidden from the Six Eyes. It was true, lately Suguru had been finding it harder and harder to stomach curses. “It’s probably the smoke killing your internal organs, Suguru.”

“Ah, it could be a lot of other things, Satoru.” Suguru lightly brushed off his concern, but he did douse the cigarette out anyway. “Stress, diet, could be stomach ulcers– don’t just blame the first thing you see . You still keep doing that?” Satoru was obviously not convinced, but chose not to argue further. He just stared at the ceiling of Suguru’s bedroom. He’d memorised that wallpaper pattern at this point. 

“Aren’t you getting late for work, Satoru? The sun will be rising soon.”

“The sun tends to do that.”

Suguru chuckled. To Satoru, it warmed his skies the same whether he was 17 or 26 years old. Such a delicate, tinkling laugh. “Move aside then, Satoru. I’m tired too,” he said, crawling under the blankets next to Satoru. “Didn’t get much rest last night, and I have to fix up so many monkeys today.”

Suguru liked saying things like that to bait Satoru. Satoru knew that. Suguru knew that Satoru knew that. Neither reacted to it.  

Satoru didn’t enjoy coming to see Suguru like this. Once or twice every year, he would end up in Suguru’s bed, unhappy about the circumstances but unwilling to leave. They’d spend one secret night together. Unlike back in those days where they talked about anything under the sun, they avoided talking about almost everything now. The past was too painful, the future a dead-end. Satoru couldn’t ask, “What did you do today, my Suguru?”, because then his Suguru would answer truthfully and the blind peace that Satoru had woven out of this situation would shatter immediately. So they talked about Shoko, smoking, Nanako and Mimiko, and the state of Suguru’s stomach. 

He could feel Suguru falling asleep in his arms. Satoru raked his eyes over Suguru’s handsome chest, branded with the large X scar. He’d offered to fix it a few times, but Suguru would sternly refuse. He knew that Suguru wore that day on his heart every single day since then, replaying it in his head constantly, until he had brainwashed and re-brainwashed himself to this point. Riko Amanai’s corpse. The applause. That one man. That one day that drove them both to insanity. 

“You’re sweating, Satoru. Take the heavier blanket off and move closer, you’ll be leaving soon anyway.” 

He did.
